Caroline Cherry Averitt is a senior at Arkansas State University from Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her major is multimedia journalism and she is minoring in writing studies concentrating in creative writing. She is planning on graduating in the spring of 2024. She plans to attend graduate school soon after to get a master’s degree in creative writing.
Averitt plans on working in print journalism. She plans to use this as a stepping stone to eventually become a novelist.
Caroline Cherry Averitt has had a passion for writing since childhood. She has been writing stories and songs with her guitar since she was in elementary school. She spends much of her time writing, both because she loves stories and because she wants to become a better writer by learning from the examples of great writers. She reads a wide range of books from the classics to contemporary young adult.
Her work and hobbies are not all centered around writing. She has previously had several students that she has tutored in math and she has a job running the tech at her church every Sunday. Averitt also has experience running professional social media. She also is involved in community theatre and enjoys spending time with her friends. Her other hobbies include editing and posting photos, watching movies, and knowing what Taylor Swift is doing at all times.
